So
here I am the first week of class put on the spot to interview someone I’ve
never even met. Not many chances in life we get to interview people we don’t
know. I was fortunate enough to interview Diego Escobar. I know what your
thinking is he related to Pablo Escobar? I wish, if so writing this would be so
much more fun. This Escobar is not Columbian but Argentinian. Diego was born May
2nd, 1981 and raised in Argentina, he moved to the united states of
America the year 2001 September 5th to be exact at the age of 20. When coming
to America he made Easton Pennsylvania his home and has been there ever since.
Being in America has given Diego the chance to take on a career in construction
management and see parts of America Americans haven’t even took the time to
see. Then all this exploring came to an end when his son was born. After
Diego’s son was born it was his obligation to put everything on hold and be the
best father possible to his son. He often tells his son he did this for him
because he was “an investment”. I find the idea of Diego quitting his job to be
a father to his son amazing considering the world we live many fathers choose
to abandon their children so for a man to put his life on pause for his child
is an amazing thing. I got the chance to ask Diego some interesting questions.
For example, I asked the question if you could bring someone back from the dead
who would it be and like anyone who lost a family member close to them that’s
who they would say. Diego answered the question with his father, if he could
bring anyone back from the dead it would be his father. I also learned some
other fun facts about Diego that he loves to dance his favorite music is Tango
music, he also loves activities such as soccer and boxing. In conclusion the
last question I asked Diego was if he had the chance to sit down with any
celebrity who would it be? he answered Leo Messi a famous soccer player. I then
asked why him? And he replied because we started off in the same place, being Argentina
and of course in my eyes he’s the best soccer player ever!
